Forum ModeratorsThe EQ Forums are moderated by experts who can help with your questions. Fran Iverson Gonzalez is the author of the EQ Simplified tutorials for the Electric Quilt program and has been teaching quilting and quilt design for 17 years. Since 2000, Fran has taught thousands of students to use EQ through her series of in-depth classes at Quilt University. She lives in Edmond, Oklahoma. Barb Vlack moderates the Quilt Design Forum. She has written Too Much Fun! (for EQ3 software), EQ4 Magic (for EQ4 software), and EQ5 Quilt Design (for EQ5 software). So she knows quilt and block recipes, pattern designing and other new topics not discussed in the program manuals. Barb teaches EQ classes allover the United States. For the past several years she has written a monthly computer/quilting column for the Japanese magazine, "Patchwork Quilt Tsushin" and creates monthly challenges for Club EQ. Sara Woodward, from the Electric Quilt Company, moderates all the forums. Sara is a sweetheart and a very strong member of the development staff. When Sara doesn't know the tech support answer, the only other person might be the president. She worked for several years in Silicon Valley. And she quilts too! She applied at the Electric Quilt, when her mother mentioned that her Sew Precise software was made in the same city that Sara graduated from. Andrea Bishop, from the Electric Quilt Company, moderates all the forums. Fairly new to the virtual quilting world and EQ, Andrea works as the webmaster and editor. She also does technical support for the company. Andrea teaches and demonstrates EQ at tradeshows, sewing machine conventions, and quilt guilds. Andrea has appeared on many quilting television shows. Penny McMorris, from the Electric Quilt Company, moderates all the forums. Penny has had earlier "quilt lives" as a TV Producer and historian, but now spends full-time answering customer questions. If she doesn't know the answer, she'll get help from the EQ staff, including Penny's husband Dean Neumann, who created all the Electric Quilt programs, and the rest of the development staff.
